Director, Digital & Automation Innovation

Walker Cole International has been retained to search for a Director for Digital & Automation Innovation to join a global organisation specialising in Advanced Therapies in the South-East of England.

As the Director for Digital & Automation Innovation, you will own the strategy, implementation and management of digital and automation tools reducing the time and cost associated with the development and manufacture of cutting-edge therapies, increasing patient access to life-changing treatments.

Your responsibilities as the Director for Digital & Automation Innovation will be:

• Provide leadership and vision around emerging technologies and their practical applications in the development and manufacture of advanced therapies
• Define and evolve the Digital & Automation Innovation technology roadmap
• Lead a team of Programme Directors to effectively deliver complex solutions on time and within budget
• Act as a highly visible advocate for the value of technology innovation both internally and externally (e.g. conferences, trade shows)

The successful candidate for the Director for Digital & Automation Innovation position will demonstrate the following:

• Expert knowledge of emerging technology landscapes (e.g. Digital, Data, Automation, AI)
• Leading the definition of technology strategy and designing technology roadmaps
• Implementing advanced tools to drive operational efficiency in science and/or manufacturing environments (e.g. Life Sciences, FMCG, Automotive, Aerospace, Oil & Gas)
• A track record of successful programme delivery
• Excellent leadership, managerial and senior stakeholder management experience
